The Honda F23A1/A4 is a 2.3L L4 remanufactured engine designed for 1998-2002 Acura and Honda vehicles.

This engine meets or exceeds OEM specifications through a rigorous remanufacturing process. It includes deep cleaning, Magnaflux testing for cracks, CNC machining of deck surfaces, and replacement of critical parts like bearings, pistons, rings, lifters, and oil pump. It also features new Viton™ valve seals, freeze plugs, and galley plugs, along with a new timing chain or belt and a new water pump if applicable. Each engine undergoes SIM testing for compression and oil/cooling system integrity before shipment.

The Honda F23A1/A4 is a fully remanufactured 2.3L L4 engine, suitable for 1998-2002 Acura and Honda vehicles. The remanufacturing process ensures that each engine meets or exceeds original equipment manufacturer (OEM) specifications through a comprehensive multi-step procedure. The process begins with a deep clean, where engines are disassembled and then hot tanked or thermally cleaned. Following this, Magnaflux testing is performed to detect any microscopic cracks or fissures in the metal. Critical components such as deck surfaces are CNC machined, and numerous new parts are installed. These include bearings, pistons, rings, lifters, the oil pump, gaskets, Viton™ valve seals, freeze plugs, and galley plugs. Depending on the engine's design, a new timing chain or belt kit, along with a new water pump (if timing-driven), is also fitted. After reassembly, each engine undergoes SIM testing. This involves pressurizing the cooling and oil systems and spinning the crankshaft at high RPM to verify compression and overall build quality. This meticulous remanufacturing process is backed by a substantial warranty, offering up to 7 years or 1 million miles, with options for further protection. It is important to verify fitment using the VIN code, casting numbers (F23A1, F23A4, PAA), and the 'Vehicle Fitment' tab.
