The FOX 2.5 Coil-Over Shocks with DSC Reservoir Adjuster are engineered to upgrade the damping performance for 2019-2023 Ford Ranger 4WD models, specifically those fitted with a BDS 6-inch lift kit. These shocks aim to provide a race-winning technology advantage, offering improved damping capabilities across diverse terrains and conditions. Constructed with a robust 2.5-inch smooth bore, zinc-plated seamless steel body, these coil-overs are built for durability and longevity, further enhanced by a zinc-plated and double-clear coated finish. The black-anodized, CNC-machined 6061-T6 billet aluminum reservoir is designed to increase cooling efficiency, while the integrated coil spring is an application-specific, adjustable 3.0 Eibach® racing spring, pre-set to level the vehicle straight out of the box. Key internal components include a 7/8-inch hard chrome-plated steel shaft for strength and a monotube design with an internal floating piston (IFP) to separate shock oil from the high-pressure nitrogen gas chamber. This prevents oil aeration, ensuring fade-free performance even in demanding off-road situations. The shocks feature application-specific valving to maximize performance and provide precise control. The Dual Speed Compression (DSC) adjuster on the reservoir offers significant tuning versatility. With a simple twist of two adjuster knobs, users can select from 10 distinct low-speed compression settings and 12 high-speed compression settings, allowing for fine-tuned damping to match driving conditions and preferences.
