The Cobra Sport NZ06 is a performance exhaust front pipe system engineered for the Nissan 350Z models equipped with the VQ35 HR engine, specifically fitting from the manifolds to the y-section. Constructed with 2.5"/63.5mm bore pipework, this exhaust is available in two configurations: a sports catalyst version and a de-cat version. This system is manufactured in the UK from certified grade 304 stainless steel, featuring TIG welding for a superior finish and mandrel bent pipework to ensure smooth flow and maximize potential power gains. Cobra Sport offers a lifetime warranty for the original purchaser, providing assurance of quality. The de-cat exhaust variant is explicitly sold for motorsport and off-road use worldwide. The sports catalyst version replaces a factory emissions device but is not EC homologated, meaning it may not comply with current emission regulations for road use in all territories. Independent testing of a full Cobra Sport exhaust system incorporating a high-flow sports catalyst indicated significant power gains. Specifically, it showed an increase of +8.2 bhp, bringing the 350Z's output to 274.6 bhp, and a torque increase of +12.8 lb-ft, reaching 346.7 lb-ft. To optimize performance and prevent potential dashboard warning lights (EML lights) that may occur after removing the standard catalyst, an ECU re-map is recommended.
