Description

The ZZP 2.5 inch Stainless Cobalt/Ion Downpipe is constructed from stainless steel for durability and features stainless flex, flanges, spun metal catalytic converter, and piping. It includes an O2 bung with a plug for wideband O2 sensor compatibility. This downpipe is designed to eliminate the restrictive 2" inlet and the O2 bung dimple found in the stock pipe, which can cause KR (knock retard) and lead to HP loss. Installation of this 2.5" bolt-in downpipe can result in gains of over 15HP and a substantial drop in KR. It mates to the stock or 2.5" cat-back exhaust system without welding. This downpipe fits all Cobalt, Ion, G5, HHR, and Pursuit models equipped with the 2.0L supercharged, 2.2L, and 2.4L naturally aspirated engines. It will not fit '08+ turbocharged models. Gaskets are sold separately. The high-flow catalytic converters are EPA certified but do not meet CARB compliance standards. ZZPerformance offers $100 in store credit for the purchase of your stock catalytic converter.
