2.5-Inch Upper Intercooler Pipe

The STM Evo 7/8/9 Upper Intercooler Pipe Kit is a high-performance upgrade constructed from lightweight, 2.5-inch mandrel-bent aluminum tubing. This kit is hand-fabricated in-house at STM and made in the USA, offering a lifetime warranty against manufacturing defects to the original purchaser. The kit is designed to work with most intake manifolds that use the factory throttle body location, including popular aftermarket options like Skunk2, JMF Sheetmetal, Driven Innovations, and AMS F1. However, it will not fit with the JMF Billet manifold. Buyers must select the correct coupler size to match their specific throttle body, with options available for 2.5-2.75" (stock TB) and 2.5-3" (S90 70/74, Full Blown). It is crucial to verify your throttle body size. Installation considerations include battery fitment, as these pipes will not clear a factory-sized battery; the STM Evo 7/8/9 Small Battery Kit is recommended. The intercooler fitment is compatible with STM, OEM, Buschur, and similar stock-placement aftermarket intercoolers, provided they have a 2.5-inch outlet. This kit also accommodates various Blow Off Valve (BOV) flanges, including TiAL, HKS, GReddy, and stock options, with a note that the stock valve requires a custom recirculation hose. An Air Intake Temperature (AIT) bung is welded onto the pipe and includes a plug for applications not using an AIT sensor. Multiple finish options are available, including Brushed Aluminum, Gloss Black Powdercoat, and Wrinkle Black Powdercoat, along with choices for the BOV flange and throttle body coupler size. Note that over-tightening the T-clamps on the aluminum pipes can cause crimping, which is not covered by the warranty.
