The Darkside Developments 2.5" Stainless DPF Delete Downpipe is a direct replacement for the factory Diesel Particulate Filter on US Spec BMW F30 328d and F25 X3 28d models equipped with the N47N 2.0 Diesel engine. This UK-designed and manufactured downpipe replaces genuine BMW part number 18308583372. It is specifically engineered for US vehicles and features a 2.5" diameter for maximum flow. The product aims to remove the factory fitted Diesel Particulate Filter, potentially improving exhaust efficiency. Installation of this DPF delete pipe requires a custom ECU remap to erase any fault codes or engine management lights. Furthermore, the use of this part on public highways where emissions control removal is prohibited is the customer's responsibility to ensure compliance with local laws and regulations. The downpipe typically includes a Lambda Sensor Boss and may include an EGT Sensor Boss. Other sensors may need to be removed; leaving them in the downpipe can lead to sensor failure and dashboard warning lights. If your tuner cannot clear these faults, the sensors should be left plugged in and secured away from the exhaust system.
