Overview

The AAM Competition 2.5" Test Pipes are designed for off-road performance, replacing the factory high-flow catalytic converters.

These test pipes are constructed from 304-grade stainless steel with precision TIG welding and 304 stainless steel flanges. Each unit is hand-assembled in the USA.

Dyno testing on a stock 2004 Nissan 350Z has shown gains of 8-10 RWHP. These test pipes also save 11 pounds compared to the factory components.

The AAM Competition 2.5" test pipes are engineered to eliminate restriction and unlock maximum exhaust flow for performance-oriented Nissan 350Z VQ35DE engines. Constructed from premium 304 stainless steel with TIG-welded seams, these test pipes are hand-assembled in the USA at AAM Competition's facility. They feature a natural stainless steel finish and a 2.5-inch diameter to ensure unrestricted exhaust flow. The package includes all necessary gaskets and hardware for installation, along with instructions. Installation notes recommend professional installation and that the vehicle be lifted. It is crucial to note that these test pipes will trigger a check engine light (CEL) and require O2 sensor simulators or ECU tuning to function correctly. The product is explicitly for off-road use only and is not legal for street use or emissions testing in most jurisdictions. These test pipes are compatible with 2003-2006 Nissan 350Z models equipped with the VQ35DE engine and dual exhaust (DE models). They are not compatible with HR (2007-2008) or Nismo variants. The system saves approximately 11 pounds compared to the stock catalytic converters.
