2.5" to 3" Stainless Steel Downpipe V2

The 3SX Custom TT/VR4 Downpipe V2 is a fully stainless steel exhaust component engineered for 1991-1999 Mitsubishi 3000GT VR-4 and Stealth Twin Turbo models. An additional flex section is incorporated near the front to facilitate easier installation and to provide flexibility, accommodating engine movement and preventing exhaust component cracking. This downpipe utilizes 2.5" piping from the pre-catalytic converters, which is mandrel-bent to merge into a 3" diameter pipe. It then passes through the flex section and exits via a 3" rear flange. By not eliminating any catalytic converters, this design provides users with ample options for configuring their complete exhaust system. It is designed to mate with the stock main catalytic converter, 3SX high-flow catalytic converters, or a test pipe, and can be used in conjunction with stock pre-catalytic converters or pre-catalytic converter eliminators. It is strongly recommended to check the condition of your motor mounts, as worn mounts can lead to excessive engine movement that may damage the flex section, as well as other components such as transmission/axle seals and vacuum lines. The downpipe utilizes the stock exhaust hanger for installation. For 1991-1993 models, an additional O2 Plug may be required. For 1994-1999 models requiring four O2 sensors, please be aware that the O2 sensor bungs were welded in incorrect locations during manufacturing. The rear secondary O2 sensor faces the firewall, and the front O2 sensor faces downward below the body line. These bung locations may need to be relocated and re-welded accordingly for proper installation and sensor positioning.
