2.5L 5 Cylinder Intake Manifold

The IE 2.5L 5 Cylinder Intake Manifold Ultimate Power Kit is a performance-enhancing system for VW 2.5L engines, designed to significantly boost horsepower and torque. This kit includes the IE Performance Intake Manifold, engineered with precisely tuned runner lengths and diameters to create a resonance effect that rams more air into the cylinders. The cast aluminum construction allows for optimized runner and velocity stack design, contributing to substantial power increases throughout the mid-to-high RPM range. Included is the IE Stage 2 performance flash software, specifically calibrated for the naturally aspirated 2.5L engine when used with the IE intake manifold. This software not only provides more horsepower and torque but also enhances the driving experience by removing rev hang, increasing throttle response, and raising the rev limiter. The intake pipe has provisions for valve cover breather, block breather, and SAI pump. Installation requires removal of the factory intake manifold, fuel injectors, fuel rail, and PCV system components. While the process is straightforward, professional installation is recommended due to the potential for serious engine damage from incorrect installation. The manifold is designed for a direct bolt-on fit for MK5 07K engines, retaining factory components without requiring modifications to the engine bay, vacuum, emissions, fuel, or coolant systems. However, factory or other manufacturer cold air intakes will not fit directly and will require modifications due to the larger IE intake manifold moving the throttle body location. Crucial fitment restrictions apply: This manifold is compatible only with VW 2.5L engines equipped with an electric power steering system; it will not fit if your car has a hydraulic power steering pump. Additionally, automatic transmission vehicles require a matching IE TCU Transmission tune to overcome stock rev limiters that would otherwise shift gears before the engine can utilize the full power gains. The included manifold fittings and cold air intake are designed for MK5 platform 2.5L engines. While the kit may fit many MK6 Golf, MK6 Jetta, and Jetta Sportwagon models (2010-2014), some custom modifications and fitting alterations may be necessary.
