2.5L 5 Cylinder Intake Manifold

The Integrated Engineering 2.5L 5 Cylinder Intake Manifold is a performance-focused upgrade designed to significantly enhance power output for 2.5L 5-cylinder VW engines. The IE manifold features a redesigned plenum and runners, utilizing computational fluid dynamics (CFD) to optimize airflow and create a resonance effect for increased power and torque across the entire RPM range. Constructed from cast aluminum and finished in a durable black powder coat, this manifold is 100% engineered, tested, cast, and machined in the USA. The larger plenum volume compared to the factory manifold ensures an even distribution of airflow to all five cylinders. Installation requires removal of several factory components, including fuel injectors and the PCV system. Professional installation is recommended due to the potential for serious engine damage from incorrect installation. To achieve the full performance potential and power gains, this intake manifold requires specific supporting hardware and software. An IE Stage 2 ECU software tune is mandatory to recalibrate the engine for the manifold's increased volume and flow. Additionally, for vehicles with automatic transmissions, an IE TCU Transmission tune is required to remove internal rev limiters that would otherwise prevent the engine from reaching higher RPMs and realizing the full power increase. The IE 2.5L Manifold Cold Air Intake Kit is also required as the throttle body placement is moved slightly due to the larger plenum. Fitment is restricted to VW 2.5L engines equipped with an electric power steering system. Vehicles with a hydraulic power steering pump, which is typically located below the factory intake manifold, will not fit. The manifold is compatible with various VW models including the Rabbit (MK5), Golf (MK6), Jetta/GLI (MK5 & MK6), and Jetta SportWagen (MK6), all with the 2.5L engine. An ECU flash is available for 2005-2014 ECUs, and automatic transmission tunes are necessary for automatic vehicles to benefit from the increased power.
