The IE Valve Spring & Retainer Kit is engineered to provide essential valvetrain upgrades for high-performance VW and Audi 2.5L FSI 5-cylinder engines. This kit is crucial for preventing valve float and potential engine damage when increasing RPMs through modifications like larger turbochargers, tuned intake manifolds, or high-output software tunes. Included in the kit are 20 precision-wound intake and exhaust valve springs, along with 20 exact-tolerance titanium retainers. The springs utilize a patented multi-stage shot peening process, manufactured from premium spring wire to enhance durability and reduce failure rates. The titanium retainers are machined to tight tolerances with an excellent surface finish for longevity. This kit is specifically designed with a working knowledge of the unique valvetrain in the VW 07K 5-cylinder engines, offering a superior alternative to generic stiffer springs. Each application is thoroughly tested in IE's Salt Lake City facility to ensure optimal performance and reliability. It is compatible with a range of Audi models including the TTRS (2008-2015 8J and 2015+ 8S) and RS3 (2006-2013 8P and 2015+ 8V), all with the 2.5L FSI 5-cylinder engine. It also fits various VW models such as the Golf (2010-2014 MK6), Rabbit (2006-2009 MK5), Jetta & Jetta GLI (2006-2010 MK5 and 2010-2014 MK6), Jetta SportWagen (2011-2014 MK6), and Beetle (1998-2011 1C/9C/1Y and 2011-2015 MK2), all equipped with 2.5L engines.
