2.8L V6 Exhaust Header

The Pacesetter 70-1206 is a full-length exhaust header engineered for enhanced flow on 1985-1990 Chevrolet Camaro 2.8L V6 vehicles. Constructed from 16-gauge steel, these headers feature a 1-1/2 inch primary tube diameter and a 2-1/4 inch collector with a standard 3/8-inch thick flange. The kit includes the necessary gaskets and an extension to facilitate connection to the stock exhaust system. Installation requires specific considerations. Fabrication may be necessary to ensure a proper fit with the stock system. For 1990-1992 Camaro models with 3.1L, 2.8L, or 3.4L engines, significant alterations are required: you must leave off the rear alternator bracket and modify the power steering bracket. Additionally, the use of a shorter oil filter is mandatory, or the oil filter must be relocated. Users must also secure the plastic clutch line away from the headers to prevent melting. Note that these headers are not smog-rated for 3.1L or 3.4L engines in California. Always test fit these components before final installation.
