The Rockford Fosgate PBR300X2 is a 300 Watt, 2-channel car audio amplifier engineered with patented Boosted Rail Technology (BRT). This innovative design allows for an ultra-efficient, compact chassis by not relying on a traditional switching power supply, making it ideal for vehicles with limited space like trucks, sub-compacts, electric, and hybrid cars. The BRT technology also ensures it provides substantial power without excessively draining your vehicle's electrical system. This amplifier delivers robust performance, rated at 150 Watts x 2 into a 2-ohm load or 100 Watts x 2 into a 4-ohm load. For even more output, it is bridgeable to a powerful 300 Watts x 1 at 4-ohm. Its dynamic power ratings are equally impressive, reaching 160 Watts x 2 at 2-ohm and 387 Watts x 1 when bridged at 4-ohm. The frequency response spans from 20Hz to 20kHz with a tight +/-3dB tolerance, and it features a 12dB/octave Butterworth crossover with adjustable high-pass and low-pass filters from 50Hz to 500Hz. Installation is simplified with a variable hi-level DC offset turn-on circuit, allowing for easy integration into OEM systems. The amplifier supports both high and low-level inputs via a 4-pin harness, with a hi-level sensitivity adjustable from 150 mV to 11 V. It also supports an optional Remote Punch EQ for onboard equalization, offering up to +18dB at 45Hz and/or up to +12dB at 12kHz. Technologies like MEHSA 3 for improved thermal management and MOSFET output stages contribute to its durability and performance.
