The HSP 2" Replacement Driver Side Up-Pipe is engineered as a direct upgrade for the 2001-2004 LB7 Duramax-equipped Chevrolet and GMC trucks. This component is crucial for feeding exhaust gases to the turbocharger, enabling boost generation. Factory up-pipes are susceptible to failure due to weak bellows and heat-warped flanges, which can lead to power loss, increased exhaust temperatures, and driveability issues. Replacing them proactively can prevent breakdowns and performance degradation. This HSP up-pipe is constructed from heavy-wall 304 stainless steel and features heavy-duty sleeved bellows for exceptional reliability under heat and stress. Its design offers increased flow capacity compared to OEM versions, contributing to better turbo spool-up, reduced Exhaust Gas Temperatures (EGTs), and enhanced power and torque. Included with the up-pipe are essential components for installation: one 2" stock replacement driver side up-pipe, one up-pipe gasket for the turbo side (RFB-821-RFAB), and one up-pipe gasket for the manifold side (RFB-822-RFAB). This up-pipe is specifically designed for the LB7 engine with the VIN Code 1, covering the model years 2001-2004.
