The Alky Control GM Truck Methanol Injection Kit is a vehicle-specific system designed for 1999-2007 GM trucks, intended to fit in the driver's front spare battery tray location. This kit features a 2-gallon Vortech tank equipped with a low-level float switch. It includes a progressive controller, a 90-micron in-line filter, and durable Teflon-lined stainless AN lines, avoiding plastic pushlock components. This system is engineered to run 100% Methanol, which adds octane and significantly cools the intake charge, leading to potentially higher power output. The specific nozzle and boost pressure recommendations vary based on fuel octane and desired performance, with options for 10-14 PSI using single or 10+10 nozzles on 91-93 octane, and 14-22 PSI with 10+10 or 10+15 nozzles on 93 octane. For turbo or centrifugal supercharged trucks producing less than 15 psi of boost, a 2-bar option is available. For those making 15-22 psi, a 2.5-bar option is recommended. Roots or positive displacement supercharged trucks (e.g., Whipple, TVS) should utilize the MAF trigger. Consult your tuner for their preference on MAF vs. MAP triggering. Note that some modification may be needed for tank placement in the passenger rear of the engine bay, potentially requiring an extended feed hose to the pump near the sway bar.
