2% Overdrive Crank Pulley

The Alta Performance AMP-ENG-520 is a lightweight crank pulley engineered to enhance throttle response and boost performance in supercharged MINI Cooper S models. Constructed from 6061-T6 billet aluminum, this one-piece pulley weighs just 1.0 lb, significantly reducing rotational mass compared to the stock pulley (over 2.3 lbs lighter). The 2% oversized diameter increases supercharger speed, effectively simulating a smaller supercharger pulley and boosting overall power. This design also improves belt contact, reducing wear. Unlike the OEM two-piece pulley, which is prone to failure, the ALTA LCP is built for enhanced durability. This pulley is ideal for use with existing supercharger pulley upgrades. For example, it allows a 15% supercharger pulley to function like a 17%, or a 17% pulley to act like a 19%. Despite the increased boost, the pulley maintains the integrity of the car's charging system and engine balance. The ALTA Lightweight Crank Pulley is designed for the 2002–2006 MINI Cooper S Hardtop (R53) and the 2004–2008 MINI Cooper S Convertible (R52).
