The Performance Driveline 1925 2-Piece Conversion Driveshaft Kit offers a robust solution for 2019-2025 Chevrolet Silverado 1500 and GMC Sierra 1500 2WD V8 models, specifically those with the 8L90E transmission. Constructed with durable 3-inch DOM tubing, the two-piece shaft features maintenance-free U-joints and a serviceable carrier bearing. The kit includes a new crossmember and necessary bolts, though it requires drilling holes and mounting the crossmember to the frame; no welding is necessary for this component. Differential pinion angle shimming may also be required to ensure proper driveshaft angles. Fitment is specific: this kit is intended for 1500 models with 4 full doors and a short bed, or an extended cab with a 6.6-foot bed. Crucially, vehicles must have a wheelbase of exactly 147.4 inches (measured from the center of the front tire to the center of the rear tire). It is imperative to match the OEM driveshaft part number #84500377 or call if it does not match before purchasing. The customer is responsible for verifying vehicle specifications and fitment prior to ordering. Additionally, this kit is designed for trucks that did not originally come with a one-piece aluminum shaft; if your truck is equipped with one, contact Performance Driveline before ordering.
