The Ksport Procomp Big Brake Kit is engineered to provide superior stopping power for your Lexus GS400 (1998-2005 JZS161). This sophisticated, bolt-on upgrade significantly enhances brake performance, especially under sustained high-heat conditions, by integrating advanced brake technology to reduce fade and continuously cool the brake pads. The kit's one-piece caliper is CNC machined from aircraft-quality billet, featuring a lightweight design (just over 5 lbs) with differential bore configuration and integrated protection grooves. It utilizes aluminum pistons, high-temperature seals, and stainless-steel wear plates. The opposed piston caliper design offers improved pad wear and greater rigidity compared to OEM components, while stainless-steel brake lines prevent expansion under pressure. Ksport employs a 2-piece disc assembly to reduce both rotating and unsprung weight. Many applications include a floating disc option to mitigate warping and cupping caused by extreme heat. The unique rotor slot design minimizes braking noise and efficiently expels gas and pad debris. Rotors are heat-treated and balanced for optimal performance. For daily driven vehicles, cross-drilled rotors are recommended for cooler operation, while slotted rotors are best suited for track use.
