2-Piece Disc Assembly

The kit features an exceptionally lightweight, one-piece caliper precision-machined from aircraft-quality billet. This caliper includes an aluminum piston, high-temperature seals, and stainless-steel brake pad wear plates. The opposed piston configuration significantly improves pad wear and caliper rigidity compared to OEM designs. Stainless-steel brake lines are incorporated to eliminate expansion under pressure. Ksport employs a two-piece disc assembly, which effectively reduces both rotating and unsprung weight. For applications experiencing extreme heat, a floating disc option is available to prevent thermal stress-induced warping. Each rotor is heat-treated and balanced for optimal performance. Ksport offers choices between cross-drilled and slotted rotors. Cross-drilled rotors are recommended for daily driven vehicles as they tend to run cooler. Slotted rotors are advised for vehicles that see more track time than daily driving. This kit is specifically designed for the 1999-2002 Mercury Cougar FWD.
