The kit features an extreme lightweight, one-piece caliper, CNC machined from aircraft-quality billet, with a differential bore configuration. This caliper weighs just over 5 lbs and includes protection grooves for bridge tubes. Standard features include aluminum pistons, high-temperature seals, and stainless-steel brake pad wear plates. The opposed-piston caliper design significantly enhances pad grip and caliper rigidity compared to OEM designs, while the stainless-steel brake lines prevent expansion under pressure for improved pedal response. The brake system utilizes a 2-piece disc assembly, which reduces both rotating and unsprung weight. Many applications offer a floating disc option to mitigate thermal stresses from extreme heat, preventing rotor warping or cupping. The unique slot design on the rotor minimizes braking noise and efficiently expels gas and pad debris. All rotors are heat-treated and balanced for optimal performance. For daily drivers, cross-drilled rotors are recommended for cooler operation, while slotted rotors are advised for vehicles used more frequently on the track.
