The lightweight caliper, weighing just over 5 lbs, is CNC machined from aircraft-quality billet aluminum and features a differential bore configuration. Internally, it is equipped with aluminum pistons, high-temperature seals, and stainless-steel brake pad wear plates for durability and performance. The caliper's opposed piston design enhances pad wear and provides superior rigidity compared to stock calipers. Ksport utilizes a 2-piece disc assembly, which reduces both rotating and unsprung weight. For applications experiencing extreme heat, a floating disc option is available to mitigate thermal stresses that can lead to warping or cupping of the braking surface. The rotors feature a unique slot design that minimizes braking noise and efficiently expels gas and pad debris, while also being heat-treated and balanced for optimal performance. Slotted rotors are specifically recommended for track use due to their ability to refresh the pad surface and enhance bite. Included in the kit are D.O.T. compliant stainless steel braided brake lines, which improve overall pedal feel and provide quicker pedal response. The kit comes with CNC machined carbon steel caliper brackets to ensure a direct bolt-on fit to the OEM caliper bracket location. Ksport provides a 12-month limited warranty covering manufacturer defects. It is important to note that the OEM handbrake will not function when this kit is installed. The rotors have a diameter of 356mm (14 inches).
