The Ksport Supercomp Big Brake Kit offers a significant upgrade in stopping power, engineered with advanced brake technology to combat brake fade and ensure consistent performance. The caliper is an extreme lightweight, one-piece design, CNC machined from aircraft-quality billet aluminum. It features a differential bore configuration, weighs just over 5 lbs each, and includes machined protection grooves for bridge tubes. Standard features on each caliper include aluminum pistons, high-temperature seals, and stainless-steel brake pad wear plates. The opposed piston caliper design significantly improves pad wear and enhances caliper rigidity compared to OEM designs. Additionally, stainless-steel brake lines are incorporated to prevent expansion under pressure. Ksport utilizes a 2-piece disc assembly, which effectively reduces both rotating and unsprung weight. Many applications offer a floating disc option to mitigate thermal stresses caused by extreme heat, preventing warping of the disc or cupping of the braking surface. Every rotor is heat-treated and balanced before shipment to ensure optimal performance. The product description notes that cross-drilled rotors tend to run cooler than slotted rotors and are recommended for daily driven vehicles, while slotted rotors are better suited for vehicles with more track use than daily driving.
