2-Piece Floating Disc Assembly with Opposed Piston Calipers

This high-performance system features an extreme lightweight SuperComp caliper, forged from aircraft-quality billet aluminum. Its differential bore configuration and larger pistons, compared to ProComp calipers, enhance braking performance. The opposed piston design increases caliper rigidity and improves pad wear, while standard stainless-steel brake lines prevent expansion under pressure. Each caliper requires four brake pads due to its substantial size. The kit includes a 2-piece floating disc assembly, which minimizes both rotating and unsprung weight, and prevents thermal stresses from warping the disc or cupping the braking surface. The unique slot design on the rotor reduces braking noise and expels gas and pad debris efficiently. For daily driven vehicles, cross-drilled rotors are recommended as they tend to run cooler than slotted rotors. The included SC5 Street Pads are made from NAOC ceramic material, offering optimal braking performance for street and occasional track conditions with a lower dust output and reduced noise compared to race pads. It is a made-to-order item and is non-refundable once the order is placed. The kit is compatible with BMW 5 Series E60/E61 models from 2004-2010, specifically excluding xi and M5 variants.
