The opposed piston design significantly improves pad wear and caliper rigidity over OEM setups, while the included stainless-steel brake lines prevent expansion under pressure. Due to the caliper's substantial size, four brake pads are standard per caliper in the SuperComp series. Each kit includes a 2-piece floating disc assembly, which not only reduces rotating and unsprung weight but also mitigates thermal stresses that can cause disc warping or surface cupping. The unique slot design on the rotors helps to minimize braking noise and efficiently expel gas and pad debris, outperforming conventional slot designs. D.O.T. compliant stainless-steel braided brake lines are standard, providing improved pedal feel and quicker response. This big brake kit is made to order and is non-refundable. It is designed for the 1998-2005 Volkswagen Passat, fitting models with TDi, V6 30v (both 4Motion and FWD), and W8 engines. Buyers can choose between Ksport SC5 Street Pads (ceramic, optimal for street and occasional track use with lower dust and noise) or Ksport RC5 Race Pads (carbon metallic, for extreme track conditions with higher operating temperatures).
