This Procomp Big Brake Kit features an extreme lightweight, differential bore caliper machined from aircraft-quality billet, weighing just over 5 lbs. It includes aluminum pistons, high-temperature seals, and stainless steel wear plates. The opposed piston caliper design enhances pad wear and rigidity compared to OEM systems, while stainless steel brake lines prevent expansion under pressure. The kit incorporates 2-piece floating discs, reducing both rotating and unsprung weight and mitigating thermal stresses that can warp rotors. The unique slot design on the rotors minimizes braking noise and efficiently expels gas and pad debris. Every rotor is heat-treated and balanced for optimal performance. The cross-drilled rotor style is recommended for daily-driven vehicles as it tends to run cooler than slotted rotors, which are better suited for track use. This specific Ksport Procomp Big Brake Kit, part number BKHY180-831CO, is designed for the front of the 2011-2014 Hyundai Sonata, featuring ProComp 8 Piston calipers in red with 330mm (13-inch) diameter drilled rotors.
