2-Piece Floating Disc Front Brake Kit 400mm x 36mm

The kit features an extreme lightweight SuperComp caliper, forged from aircraft-quality billet aluminum. This caliper has a differential bore configuration and significantly larger pistons than ProComp calipers, weighing just over 7lbs each. It includes aluminum pistons, high-temperature seals, titanium brake pad retainer clips, and stainless-steel brake pad wear plates. The opposed piston design enhances pad wear and caliper rigidity, while stainless-steel brake lines resist expansion under pressure. Due to the caliper size, four brake pads are standard per caliper. At its core is a 2-piece floating disc assembly with 400mm x 36mm rotors. This design reduces both rotating and unsprung weight and prevents thermal stresses from warping the disc. The unique slot design on the rotor minimizes braking noise and efficiently expels gas and pad debris. Rotors are heat-treated and balanced for optimal performance. Cross-drilled rotors are recommended for daily drivers, while slotted rotors are better suited for track use. Standard equipment includes Ksport SC5 Street Pads, which are ceramic and designed for optimal performance under street and occasional track conditions. These pads offer reduced brake dust, noise, and rotor wear compared to race pads. For more extreme use, Ksport RC5 Race Pads (carbon metallic) are available as an option. D.O.T. compliant stainless-steel braided brake lines are also standard, improving pedal feel and response. The kit is compatible with the Porsche Macan 95B Base 2.0T (2017+). Note that Ksport Big Brake kits generally fit 2WD vehicles only, unless otherwise specified.
