The calipers are constructed from a single billet of aircraft-grade aluminum, offering exceptional strength, light weight, and corrosion resistance. They incorporate aluminum pistons, which provide better heat dissipation compared to standard materials, ensuring consistent performance. This sophisticated design enhances pad wear and caliper rigidity. The kit features two-piece rotors, available in either cross-drilled or slotted configurations. Cross-drilled rotors are recommended for daily driving as they offer improved cooling, while slotted rotors are better suited for track use due to their ability to clear gases and debris. Included are SC5 Street Pads, formulated for optimal braking performance in street and occasional track conditions. These pads are designed to reduce brake dust by at least 50% and minimize rotor wear and noise, operating effectively between 194°F and 1022°F. For enhanced braking feel and response, the kit comes with DOT-compliant stainless-steel braided brake lines. These lines eliminate the expansion common in rubber hoses under pressure, resulting in a firmer pedal and quicker reaction time. Caliper brackets are CNC-machined from carbon steel, ensuring a direct fit to the OEM caliper mounting points. Customization options for caliper colors, including standard finishes like Orange, Red, Black, and Yellow, as well as premium high-polish finishes, are available.
