The calipers are constructed from a single billet of aircraft-grade aluminum, ensuring lightweight strength and corrosion resistance. These calipers feature aluminum pistons, which offer superior heat resistance and maintain performance integrity. The opposed piston design of the 8-piston front calipers improves pad wear and enhances caliper rigidity compared to OEM designs. The kit includes two-piece rotors, which provide a lightweight solution for fade-free performance and effective grip on the track, while also offering comfortable operation for daily driving. Standard with this kit are Ksport's SC5 Street Pads, formulated with NAOC Ceramic compound. These pads deliver optimal braking performance for both street use and occasional track days, reducing brake dust by over 50% compared to race pads, and minimizing noise and rotor wear. The pads operate effectively within a temperature range of 194°F to 1022°F. Additionally, the kit incorporates D.O.T. compliant stainless-steel braided brake lines. It comes with CNC-machined Carbon Steel caliper brackets that facilitate a direct bolt-on fit to your OEM caliper bracket location, accommodating the larger Ksport calipers. The kit is available with either slotted or cross-drilled rotors; slotted rotors are recommended for track use, while cross-drilled rotors are suggested for daily driven vehicles as they run cooler. Please note that Ksport Big Brake kits are built to order, with an estimated production and delivery time of 4-6 weeks. This system is appropriate for 18-inch wheels and above, and no vehicle modifications are required in most applications.
