2-Piece Vented Slotted Rotor Big Brake Kit

This kit features a massive, extremely lightweight forged one-piece caliper crafted from aircraft-quality billet aluminum, weighing just over 5 lbs. It incorporates aluminum pistons, high-temperature seals, titanium brake pad retainer clips, and stainless-steel brake pad wear plates for enhanced durability and performance. The opposed piston caliper design improves pad wear and rigidity compared to OEM systems. This kit utilizes a 2-piece disc assembly, reducing both rotating and unsprung weight. The vented rotors feature a unique slot design that minimizes braking noise and efficiently expels gas and pad debris. While cross-drilled rotors are recommended for daily drivers for cooler operation, the slotted rotors in this kit are ideal for vehicles that see more track use. The standard friction material is ceramic, with an optimal operating temperature range of 194°F – 1022°F, offering reduced dust and noise compared to race pads. The included D.O.T. compliant stainless-steel braided brake lines prevent line expansion under pressure, resulting in a firmer pedal feel and quicker response. The kit includes CNC-machined carbon steel caliper brackets that allow the larger Ksport calipers to bolt directly into the OEM caliper bracket location. It is important to note that the OEM handbrake will not function with this rear big brake kit. All Ksport big brake kits are backed by a 12-month limited warranty covering manufacturer defects. This specific kit includes a 2-piston caliper with 12-inch slotted rotors and is confirmed to fit the 1997-2001 Honda Prelude.
