The Ksport Procomp Big Brake Kit is a rear brake upgrade specifically designed for the Volkswagen Golf GTI MK6 (2009-2013). This kit aims to significantly improve stopping performance over the stock braking system. It features a lightweight, one-piece caliper CNC machined from aircraft-quality billet, weighing just over 5 lbs. The caliper utilizes an opposed-piston design with aluminum pistons, high-temperature seals, and stainless-steel wear plates for improved pad wear and caliper rigidity. The kit includes a 2-piece floating brake disc assembly with a 304mm rotor and a unique slot design. This design effectively reduces braking noise, expels gas and pad debris, and helps prevent thermal stress from warping the disc. The rotors are heat-treated and balanced for optimal performance. Stainless steel brake lines are included to prevent expansion under pressure, leading to a firmer pedal feel. The caliper brackets are made from reinforced carbon steel, allowing the larger calipers to fit directly onto existing mounting points. This kit is a direct fit for the 2009-2013 Volkswagen Golf GTI. The product comes with a 12-month manufacturer's warranty covering defects.
