Overview

The Ultra Racing 2-point front strut tower brace is designed to strengthen the chassis of your 1985-1992 Volkswagen Golf GTI (MK2). This brace is mounted at the front of the chassis to eliminate suspension noise and increase stability during acceleration, hard driving, and braking. It is constructed from a single piece of welded steel, avoiding weak points found in bolted designs, and features a powdercoated white finish. The brace utilizes OEM mounting points for a bolt-on installation with all required hardware included.

Show original supplier description

The Ultra Racing 2-point front strut tower brace is engineered to significantly enhance the rigidity of your 1985-1992 Volkswagen Golf GTI (MK2). By tying the two opposing strut towers together, this brace acts as a single, solid unit, reducing chassis flex and improving overall vehicle stability. This leads to a more composed driving experience, particularly noticeable during hard acceleration, braking, and cornering. Constructed from a single piece of welded steel, this brace eliminates potential weak points associated with multi-piece designs, ensuring maximum strength and durability. The white powdercoated finish provides a clean, professional look while offering protection against the elements. Installation is straightforward thanks to its bolt-on design, which utilizes factory mounting points, and all necessary hardware is included. While most installations are simple, please note that vehicles with high mileage, existing body damage, or significant age may experience chassis flex. This could lead to minor alignment issues with the mounting points, potentially requiring slight modifications during installation, which are not considered a defect of the part. Professional installation is generally not required, as most Ultra Racing braces can be installed with basic hand tools in 30-60 minutes, with no cutting or welding necessary.
