200,000 PSI Head Stud Kit

The ARP Head Stud Kit (204-4103) is a premium engine fastener solution engineered for VW and Audi's 06A 1.8T engines, both transverse and longitudinal configurations. ARP is a recognized leader in the automotive aftermarket for engine fasteners, known for their commitment to quality and performance, making them a popular choice in racing applications. Constructed from premium grade 8740 alloy steel, these head studs offer a tensile strength of 200,000 psi, significantly outperforming many "aircraft quality" competitors. The studs undergo a heat treatment process to 200,000 psi and are then thread rolled, resulting in a fatigue strength that is twenty times better than studs threaded prior to treatment. This robust construction ensures the head gasket remains securely in place, even under extreme boost conditions, contributing to reliable engine performance. Designed specifically for the 06A 1.8T engine, this kit addresses the challenge of limited access to nuts, offering easier assembly compared to traditional bolts. It includes ARP Moly Assembly Lube, but does not include an installation/removal tool. Fitment is for all transverse and longitudinal VW 20V 1.8T 06A engines and all transverse and longitudinal Audi 20V 1.8T 06A engines, generally from mid-2000 onwards.
