2000 Cylinder Head Stud Kit

The ARP 201-4302 is a performance-grade cylinder head stud kit designed for BMW's M50, M52, S50US, and S52US 6-cylinder engines with steel blocks. These studs are manufactured from a premium 8740 chrome moly alloy, heat-treated to 200,000 psi, and threaded after heat treatment to achieve 1000% greater fatigue strength compared to conventionally threaded studs. This ensures exceptional durability and resistance to failure under demanding conditions, making them ideal for racing and forced induction applications. Replacing factory head bolts with studs simplifies engine assembly, particularly for frequently serviced racing engines, and ensures precise alignment of the cylinder head and gasket. ARP studs provide more accurate and consistent torque loading, as they stretch only on the vertical axis when torqued, unlike bolts which are subject to twisting forces. The kit includes 14 head studs, washers, nuts, and assembly lubricant. Installation requires a 12mm 12-point socket for the nuts and a 4mm Allen wrench for stud installation. This kit is specifically designed for the following BMW engines (steel block only): 1992-1995 M50 (2.5L 6-cylinder, including 325i, 325is, 525i), 1996-1999 M52 (2.5L/2.8L 6-cylinder, including 328i, 328is, 323is, 528i), 1995 S50US (3.0L, including 1995 M3 US spec), and 1996-1999 S52US (3.2L, including 1996-1999 M3 US spec and MZ3.
