The manufacturing process includes cold-forging for molecular integrity, heat treatment prior to thread rolling and machining, and precision center-less grinding to Mil-S-8879 specifications for a concentric finish. They feature a durable black oxide coating for corrosion resistance and a 12-point head style for ease of use with compatible sockets.
