The TruCarbon 2003 Cobra Style A45 Hood is engineered to enhance the appearance and performance of your 1999-2004 Ford Mustang GT or V6. Constructed from premium, vacuum-infused carbon fiber, this hood is a genuine carbon fiber product, not a wrap or skin. It provides a significant weight reduction, up to 20 lbs lighter than the original steel hood, which contributes to improved handling and front-end responsiveness. The A45 hood features aggressive, Cobra-inspired styling with sculpted vents that mimic the look of the '03-'04 Cobra. It boasts a smooth, gloss finish that is ready for show or can be painted to match your vehicle's color scheme. The hood utilizes stock-style latch and hinge locations for direct bolt-on installation, requiring no special fitment hardware. It is designed to work with GT and V6 bumper lines. Installation is straightforward, attaching to factory hinge and latch locations without requiring cutting. While tuning or electrical modules are not needed, hood pins are strongly recommended for safety, especially at high speeds, due to potential carbon fiber flex. Professional installation is advised for perfect panel gap fitment or if painting the hood. Important fitment notes: This hood will not align correctly with factory Cobra bumpers and requires additional front fascia modifications to fit them.
