The Texas Speed & Performance 224R camshaft (TSP-224R6112) is engineered for naturally aspirated cathedral-port LS engines, specifically LS1, LS2, and LS6 applications. This camshaft features a balanced 224° intake and exhaust duration with .600" lift and a 112° lobe separation angle, making it a potent upgrade for street-performance builds and daily drivers seeking enhanced power. This camshaft is designed to provide a substantial performance increase, estimated at approximately 45-50 rear-wheel horsepower with proper supporting modifications. It offers strong low- and midrange power, an improved top-end, and a noticeable idle quality that is still street-friendly. Drivability is excellent when paired with custom tuning, making it suitable for a wide operating RPM range of 1,400-6,500 RPM. Installation and proper operation require several supporting modifications. A compression ratio of 9.5:1 or higher is recommended. Upgraded valve springs are mandatory, with PAC-1219 beehive springs or TSP/PAC .660" dual valve springs being recommended.
