24-1 Crankshaft Position Sensor

The OneSix Industries L-Series Crank Sensor represents the latest innovation in engine management for Nissan/Datsun L-Series engines. This billet-made unit features a new ground-up design, offering a clean 5v square wave signal with no trigger issues, thanks to its integrated Bosch Hall Sensor. Tested to an impressive 20,000 RPM, this sensor is engineered for high-performance applications and provides a sequentially capable signal for both 4 and 6-cylinder configurations. Designed as a direct drop-in replacement, this crank angle sensor (CAS) utilizes the more common and readily available non-turbo oil pump shaft. Its internal 24-1 tooth trigger pattern, coupled with the Bosch Hall sensor, ensures precise timing information for standalone ECU solutions. The unit also boasts a lighter weight and a smaller footprint than earlier models, making installation easier and potentially improving engine bay aesthetics. Included with the sensor are all necessary components for installation, such as the connector, terminals, seals, and fasteners. For proper function, a 1k pull-up resistor between the trigger and 12v is recommended, though some engine management systems like Haltech may offer this capability through software configuration. This updated version uses a 24-1 trigger pattern and replaces the older VR type sensors.
