The Hotchkis 22810R Competition Rear Sway Bar is engineered for aggressive driving and competition use on 2002-2006 Mini Cooper R53 models. This massive 25.5mm tubular sway bar is constructed from durable 4130 chrome moly and weighs a mere 5.5 pounds, contributing to its lightweight, performance-focused design. Featuring three distinct adjustment positions, this sway bar allows for precise tuning of the vehicle's handling characteristics. The softest setting provides a more neutral balance, while the middle setting significantly enhances mid-corner speed by reducing the need for throttle feathering. The stiffest setting is ideal for tight, slow corners, enabling a more direct throttle application and a noticeable rear-steer feel, giving you a competitive edge on track and autocross courses. The kit includes everything needed for installation, such as polyurethane bushings, bushing brackets, and 90-degree zerk fittings for easy lubrication. The rate increase over stock is substantial, with rear increases of +226%, +294%, and +383% depending on the selected setting. The fitment is specifically for 2002-2006 Mini Cooper Base and S models.
