The STILLEN SETRAB Oil Cooler Kit is engineered to combat oil overheating in the Nissan 370Z [Z34] and compatible Infiniti models (G37, Q40, Q60), particularly under high-performance or track conditions where oil temperatures can lead to reduced engine power. By circulating oil through a high-efficiency external cooler, this kit can achieve an oil temperature reduction of 30 to 40 degrees Fahrenheit, preserving engine life and performance. This "Race" version utilizes a robust 25 Row x 14.1" SETRAB oil cooler core, a component renowned for its cooling capabilities and used by top racing teams and in OEM applications from manufacturers like Aston-Martin and Ferrari. The kit comes complete with vehicle-specific brackets, Goodridge stainless steel oil lines, and all required fittings, hoses, and hardware for a comprehensive installation. A thermostatic bypass plate is included to prevent oil overcooling during colder operating temperatures. Installation will require drilling mounting holes. Note that this Oil Cooler Kit cannot be mounted on a 370Z equipped with a long and low aftermarket cold air intake system due to potential interference. Furthermore, these kits will not fit Nismo 370Z models without custom modifications, for which instructions are not provided. An important note for installation: All Oil Cooler Kits equipped with Thermostatic Plates MUST use Fram Oil Filter #PH3950 or an equivalent to ensure a proper seal. Additionally, a different sized oil filter will be required, which is readily available from all filter brands.
