Overview

The Racetronix FLT1 Fuel Pump Kit is a high-performance upgrade designed for LT1 Camaro, Firebird, and Trans Am models from 1993-1997. It features an RXP 255L/Hr turbine fuel pump capable of supporting up to 600 flywheel horsepower using factory lines.

The kit includes a custom Walbro-GM Teflon in-tank harness, a high-pressure 'Flex' fuel tube with a new Push-Lock fitting, and a 30-micron high-flow fuel sock. Assembly adhesive and lubricant are also provided.
Show original supplier description
The Racetronix fuel pump kit provides a complete, high-performance solution for 1993-1997 LT1-equipped F-body vehicles, specifically the Camaro, Firebird, and Trans Am. By integrating a 255 LPH turbine fuel pump with a robust electrical system, this kit ensures consistent fuel delivery for both naturally aspirated and forced induction setups. Technical components include a one-piece wiring harness utilizing 14-gauge Teflon-insulated wire, which provides a significant upgrade over the factory 16-gauge wiring. The plug-and-play harness draws power directly from the alternator's battery terminal to maximize pump performance, utilizing a heavy-duty relay and fuse assembly. This configuration removes the fuel pump load from original, aging factory circuits, effectively reducing voltage drop and preventing common failures associated with high-load aftermarket pumps. Installation hardware, including stainless steel mounts, silicon grease, and a spare fuse, is included to facilitate a direct-fit process without the need for cutting or splicing. Optional upgrades such as the BGK8 battery-to-body ground kit are recommended to address known grounding weaknesses in these platforms. This system is capable of supporting up to 600 flywheel horsepower using factory lines, though users should maintain a 20-25% safety margin in their fuel supply to accommodate the requirements of forced induction applications.
