Description

The COMP Cams 82037P is an Xtreme Energy 242/248 Hydraulic Roller Camshaft designed for Chevrolet Small Block 262-400 c.i. 8 Cylinder engines (1958-1998). This cam is intended for street/strip applications, producing a rough idle. It requires 9.5:1 compression, intake, headers, a 3000+ stall converter, and gears. Pre-1987 blocks need Retro-Fit Link Bar Roller Lifters. Some 1987-1995 trucks with OEM-style roller cam provisions might require a COMP Hydraulic Roller Lifter Install Kit.
