The Tomei TA301D-MT01A is a performance intake camshaft specifically designed for the Mitsubishi 4G63 engine. Engineered for high power applications, this camshaft offers a duration of 272 degrees and a lift of 10.70mm, contributing to improved engine breathing and power output. This Poncam series camshaft is intended for models including the Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution 7, 8, and 9. It requires OEM valve lifters and valve springs for proper operation. The specific center line is 130 degrees for the Evo 9 models, and 105 degrees for Evo 7/8 models, with a base circle of 30mm for all specified applications. Installation on certain Evo models may require specific components. For the Evo 7/8, OEM retainers are required when using Tomei valve springs. Similarly, for Evo 9 models, OEM retainers are needed when utilizing Tomei valve springs. Tomei also recommends specific cam gears and exhaust/intake camshafts (sold separately) to complement the performance of this unit.
