The SunCoast Guardian Heavy Duty (XD) series torque converter is engineered for demanding applications such as heavy-duty towing, hauling, and commercial operations. It features a CNC-machined billet steel design with multi-disk carbon-graphitic clutch discs for precise lock-up, 4140 hardened turbine splines and hub, and a Torrington thrust bearing stator for enhanced fluid dynamics. The unit is furnace-brazed for added strength, undergoes pressurized hot soak leak testing, and is computer-balanced to within 0.01 gram. It is designed for Ram trucks with the 68RFE automatic transmission and 6.7L Cummins engine.
