27"x11"x4" Cross Flow Front Mount Intercooler Kit

The GrimmSpeed Front Mount Intercooler Kit is engineered for the 2015-2021 Subaru STI, aiming to maintain a balance of low pressure drop and high temperature rejection for turbocharged engines. The kit utilizes a 27”x11”x4” Cross Flow Core with a durable Bar and Plate construction, complemented by cast aluminum end tanks designed for optimal flow distribution and minimal pressure drop. Robust steel mounting brackets ensure a secure fit with minimal movement and maximum adjustability. The intercooler piping is constructed from thick .090” wall, 2.5” inside diameter 6061 aluminum tubing. This tubing is precisely machine-bent with large radius bends for maximum flow and perfect fitment, featuring bead rolls at each end to secure the included 5-ply silicone couplers. The piping is finished with a durable red or black wrinkle powdercoat, offering protection against corrosion and a matching aesthetic with other GrimmSpeed parts. Installation requires minimal permanent vehicle modification, with only minor adjustments to the OEM undertray and splash guard needed. It is compatible with the factory or GrimmSpeed intake (snorkel removal required for factory intake; GrimmSpeed Intake recommended for maximum performance). The kit retains the factory fog light mounting and OEM bypass valve location, easing installation and allowing the use of most aftermarket BPVs. This intercooler is pressure tested, cleaned, and sealed prior to delivery, ensuring it works correctly out of the box. It is available in Raw Aluminum or Satin Black powdercoat for the core, and the piping comes in Red or Black wrinkle powdercoat. Importantly, no tune is required for installation, with no change in maximum boost or time to spool.
