280mm Rear Brake Master Cylinder Handle

Unlike standard cable-operated systems, this hydraulic assembly provides the instant response required by professional-grade vehicles. Built with a 280mm mild steel handle, this non-lockable unit is designed for a vertical rest position. Note that the master cylinder required for operation is sold separately. Installation requires bolting the base to the transmission tunnel in a location that keeps the handle accessible to the driver; depending on the vehicle, reinforcement of the tunnel may be necessary to prevent flexing. To install, route the rear brake line from the footbrake master cylinder outlet into the handbrake master cylinder inlet, then connect the line from the handbrake master cylinder outlet to the rear brakes. When the handbrake is not in use, the braking system will function normally. Please be advised that this product is for competition use only and is not intended for use as a vehicle parking brake.
