The GEARWRENCH Bolt Biter extraction socket system is designed to remove and reuse corroded, weathered, rounded, and/or damaged fasteners. It features a bi-directional design for removing or tightening damaged fasteners, a tapered entry for easy seating, and dual-sized sockets for both SAE and metric fasteners. These sockets can be used with an impact gun, ratchet, wrench, or pliers, and are made from Chrome Molybdenum alloy steel (Cr-Mo) for strength and durability. They also have high-visibility laser-etched markings for quick size identification and a black oxide coating for corrosion resistance. The manufacturer claims up to 10x longer impact life and up to 5x greater torque output compared to competitors. Minus-size sockets are included to fit a wider range of damaged fasteners.
