This intercooler helps to keep intake manifold temperatures consistent, even after repeated hard driving. The kit includes a powder-coated tubular steel mounting beam with an integrated threaded tow hook mount, allowing for license plate relocation.

The TurboXS Front Mount Intercooler is engineered to address the intake manifold temperature management challenges faced by the 2015+ Subaru STI, a critical factor for consistent power output, especially in modified vehicles. The stock top-mount intercooler (TMIC) is often insufficient, leading to heat soak and power loss. This FMIC utilizes a substantial bar and plate aluminum core (28" W x 8" H x 3.75" D) that significantly outperforms the factory TMIC. With this upgrade, intake manifold temperatures remain stable during aggressive driving, ensuring sustained performance. The kit features cast aluminum end tanks and aluminum intercooler pipes, available in wrinkle black or red powder coat finishes. It is designed as a 100% bolt-on installation with no cutting required for the bumper. The fabricated bumper beam is made of powder-coated tubular steel, providing a robust mounting solution and retaining clearance for aftermarket horns. A unique feature is the integrated threaded tow hook mount on the bumper beam, compatible with license plate relocation kits (sold separately) that utilize the tow hook. This allows for legal front license plate mounting without obstructing airflow to the intercooler. It is crucial to note that this mount is strictly for license plate relocation and is not intended for towing purposes.
