The Sikaflex-295 UV is a specialized one-component polyurethane adhesive sealant developed for demanding marine glazing and exterior sealing applications. This moisture-curing, non-sag sealant ensures reliable performance in harsh marine environments, offering resistance to weathering and aging. Key features include its non-sag consistency, making it suitable for vertical and overhead applications, and its compatibility with a range of substrates including aluminum, GRP, stainless steel, and timber. With a skin time of 60 minutes and an open time of 45 minutes, it allows for manageable application and assembly within specified temperature ranges (10-35 °C, with optimal performance between 15-25 °C). The sealant boasts excellent elasticity with 500% elongation at break and a service temperature range of -50 to 90 °C. Sikaflex-295 UV is suitable for interior and exterior marine sealing applications and has received approval for OEM marine use. Surfaces must be clean, dry, and free from contaminants before application. Adhesion testing on actual substrates is recommended, especially for materials prone to stress cracking.
