The RR Racing Lexus 3XX OBD ECU Upgrade Tune is designed to optimize performance for specific Lexus models equipped with the 2GR-FSE 3.5L v6 engine. This tune targets vehicles such as the IS350 and IS300 (2014-2016), RC300/350 (2015-2016), and GS350 (2013-2015). Developed over many months through extensive dyno and real-world road testing, this ECU recalibration enhances key engine functions. It modifies Direct Injection / Port Injection fuel mapping, ignition control (including base, cam timing dependent, and knock correction maps), and variable cam maps. The tune also alters the torque-to-throttle mapping to improve throttle response. A significant feature of this tune is the increased rev limit to 7200 RPM, which helps maintain the power curve at higher engine speeds. It also raises the shift points and the speed limiter. The result is a smoother, more linear pull with improved midrange and top-end performance. Gains are estimated at 10 whp over stock, increasing to 15-26 whp with a full cat-back exhaust, and significantly more with additional modifications like headers. The ordering process involves shipping an OBD unit, reading the ECU ID on a Windows computer, and emailing it to RR Racing for tune file delivery. It's recommended that the vehicle has the latest Lexus calibration file implemented by a dealer. RR Racing advises that this modification may affect manufacturer warranties, and the product is intended for race track use at the purchaser's risk.
