2JZ-GE Throttle Lock

The Excessive Manufacturing 2JZ-GE Throttle Lock is designed to address the lag and hesitation associated with Drive By Wire (DBW) systems found in '98-'05 USDM 2JZ-GE engines. This component is particularly useful for those looking to switch to a standalone ECU without needing to replace the entire throttle body. Constructed from injection-molded, glass-reinforced Nylon, this throttle lock insert fits onto the input side of the stock throttle hardware. It effectively eliminates the gears driven by the DBW motor, thereby reducing pedal resistance and allowing for full throttle engagement solely through the throttle cable. This modification can be performed quickly, often with basic tools like an 8mm wrench or screwdriver, and typically does not require TPS re-calibration unless the idle screw is adjusted. This throttle lock is specifically intended for use in IS300 (SXE10) and GS300 (JZS160/161) models. It is important to note that this product is not intended for use with emission-controlled stock ECUs. Installation involves removing four screws to detach the throttle quadrant and TPS, placing the Throttle Lock onto the internal wheel, and then re-bolting the TPS/Quadrant in its original position.
